8 week introductory class
January 6 - February 26 2026
Tuesday evenings 6p-9p
+ Includes optional, mentored Open Studio on Thursdays from 6–9 PM
For individuals 18 and older interested in learning hand building techniques and wheel throwing skills in a friendly supportive atmosphere. Welcoming people with no experience through those with experience who feel they want to review the basics. Learn the processes from forming to firing. This eight-week course encompasses hand building methods including pinch, coil and slab, basic wheel skills, decorative techniques and glazing. Expand your concept of mugs, bowls, plates with weekly instruction and mentored practice time. You bring the enthusiasm, we will supply the materials, tools and equipment needed.
Tuition includes: 25lbs of clay. Use of studio equipment. Bisque and glaze firings. Access to studio glazes. Optional open studio on Thursday evenings 6-9pm.
Please bring: Consider an apron. Wear clothing/shoes that you don’t mind getting muddy.
