8 week introductory ceramics course
September 22 - November 12, 2026
Tuesday & Thursday evenings 6p-8:30p
Ever wanted to get your hands in the clay and see what you can create? This is your chance! Whether you're drawn to the rhythm of the wheel or the tactile magic of hand building, Exploration into Clay welcomes total beginners into a friendly, supportive studio atmosphere — no experience necessary. This is an 18+ course.
Over eight weeks, you'll learn everything from forming to firing, including:
• Hand-building techniques: pinch, coil, and slab methods
• Foundational wheel throwing skills
• Decorative techniques and glazing
You bring the enthusiasm — we'll bring the materials, tools, equipment, and guidance.
Tuition includes: Clay. Tools. Use of studio equipment. Bisque and glaze firings. Access to studio glazes.
Please bring: An apron or clothes you don't mind getting muddy. Long hair tied back. Closed-toed shoes preferred
Class Size: Limited to ensure personalized instruction. Registration Required.
